Allow us to introduce ourselves. We're a team of passionate people dedicated to making cities better places to live. We're not cyclists, we're just people who happen to get around by bike and who believe in the role of the bicycle as a tool to improve quality of life. Our team is trained in planning, urban design, architecture, landscape architecture, graphic design, education, communication, and wayfinding. We come from different countries and continents with diverse backgrounds and hobbies. But, most importantly, we are all committed to building a more bicycle-friendly future and want you to join us on this journey.

Clotilde Imbert
Director

Clotilde is the director of Copenhagenize, managing a broad range of projects that make cities around the world more bike-friendly. As an urban planner specialized in sustainable urban development, she has intricate knowledge of bicycle infrastructure and communications strategies. She manages a team of talented designers, architects, and planners producing world-class projects from the Paris office.

Arthur Duhamel
Head of urban design

Arthur is the head of the urban design department of Copenhagenize. As an urbanist specialized in master planning and urban design, Arthur brings forward human-oriented approaches in the development of bicycle facilities and infrastructure. His professional experience in integrated mobility and public space projects spans across all scales, from strategic visioning, to design and implementation. In his spare time, he enjoys bikepacking in the wilderness.

Kassandra McCleery
Research and education project manager

Kassandra is an urban planner specialized in gender inclusive approaches to planning and community development. From her community building work she has developed a strong ability to mobilize people, develop programming, and manage multiple stakeholders and partnerships. She advocates for more bike-friendly and inclusive cities through her work coordinating research projects and educational and outreach activities at Copenhagenize.

Sami Ibrahim
Head of cycling strategy

Sami is the head of the cycling strategy department of Copenhagenize in charge of managing cycling strategies projects, assessing cycling policies, and more broadly assisting local and national authorities in achieving their bike-related policy objectives. Specialized in strategic urban development, he has strong public policy advisory skills which he applies to different international contexts. Alongside his role at Copenhagenize, his research activity focuses on urban models and transnational urbanism.

Diabou Danso
Office manager

Diabou brings several years of administrative experience to the Copenhagenize team. She takes care of organizing master classes, administrative procedures, and human resources. Diabou enjoys discovering her environment and new places by bike.

Mathilde Chesneau
Architect-urban designer

Mathilde is an architect specialized in urban design. She develops bicycle infrastructure and facilities both in public spaces and in buildings. The use of public space is at the heart of her work, integrating observations from her daily bicycling experience, started while studying in the Netherlands, where she did research on bicycle urbanism.

Mauricio Suarez
Architect-urbanist

Mauricio’s passion for cycling started in Colombia, his country of birth, and slowly developed through his studies in architecture and urban planning. Through his multidisciplinary and multicultural career, Mauricio has worked on the design of architectural and urban projects in the United States and France. After joining Copenhagenize, he has used his experience to design and develop cycling infrastructure and facilities suitable for people of all ages and abilities in a variety of contexts.

Laure Verdier
Landscape architect

Laure is a graduate of the National School of Nature and Landscape Architecture in Blois and passionate about gardens and vegetation. Throughout various projects, she has developed expertise in the feasibility and design of both public and private spaces at different scales. At Copenhagenize, she uses her landscape architecture skills to integrate cycling infrastructure into pleasant public spaces that promote positive changes in urban quality. She uses cycling as her main mode of daily transportation.

Lorenz is an experienced landscape architect and planner who brings a diverse set of visual and analytical skills to all bicycle urbanism projects. He coordinates many of the firm's visual content, seeking out fresh ways to communicate bicycle-as-transport to clients around the world.

Anne Xiong
Graphic designer

After working many years in an architectural agency, Anne is familiar with all topics related to urban planning and architecture. Passionate about cycling and sensitive to the challenges of sustainable mobility, Anne decided to join Copenhagenize to contribute her skills in communications, graphic design and artistic direction. Within our team of graphic designers she works on visual identity and cycling network signage projects, the production of brochures and other communication deliverables, and communication strategies aimed at promoting cycling.

Thomas Veniant
Graphic designer

Thomas is a graphic designer who brings a unique vision to the team on how to visually communicate about cycling. He is passionate about wayfinding and signage and how they’re evolving and increasingly being used in public space. Thomas mainly works with cities to help them adopt quality graphic design practices and strengthen the identity and visibility of cycling facilities.

Marguerite Wang Hansen
Urban planner

Marguerite is an urbanist based in Copenhagen. Since graduating from Columbia University, she has worked in academic and professional research settings, as well as on urban planning and design projects. Life on a bike was amongst the reasons for returning to Copenhagen, making it a pleasure to be leading the Copenhagen bicycle tours. In addition to micro-mobility, Marguerite’s work also explores immigrant and minority experiences in cities.
